Boiler Room by Wayne LaCom

Watercolor on paper, 10 x 12 inches

Artist Wayne Lacom was prominent among those of the post WWII California Style Watercolor Movement. The painting “Boiler Room” was typical of their new representational art, defined by free broad brush strokes and strong rich colors. It is included in the Labor Arts exhibit Scenes of American Labor which evokes the individual and physical experience of work. The entire series is housed at the Sullivan Goss Gallery in Santa Barbara, CA.
